Eve Simonsen Martinez

Director of Events

Deep ties in the creative community have led Eve Simonsen Martinez on a dynamic professional path from Philadelphia to New York City. Prior to moving to New York in 2004, Eve served as Coordinating Arts and Entertainment Editor at the Philadelphia Weekly and ignited her career in event planning as part of Squarebiz, a small startup company headed by Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson of The Roots. With a renewed connection to the Philly music industry, Eve went on to produce events large and small, including a 2002 NBA All-Star event, jam sessions, album release parties, showcases, and tastemaker soirees with the likes of Common, Eve, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier, and Pete Rock.

Since 2004 Eve has expanded her professional scope to include more community-focused endeavors. She is a certified Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and in 2005 graduated from Dharma Mittra's intensive yoga teacher training and began instructing yoga and nutrition at Satellite Academy, an alternative high school on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

Event production and local activism collided in 2009 when Eve began working with Rachel P. Goldstein at Donna Karan's Urban Zen. Currently director of events for Agent of Change, Eve is at the helm of an esteemed team who ensures complete synthesis in all aspects of event development and execution.
